I'm out of my depth here. Dell Support before we run cc cleaner.. Then.. I hit enterand the files are loading now as they did before, so I'll see if it goes past the blank screen and cursor stage.

Using the Symptom tree from F8 options showed 11 blocks with error code 0F00:1A44, Can't read, replace disc. I found the following info:0F00-0244 Error is a common windows error caused by misconfigured system files. the error means hdd has bad sectors already. disneyf1 , Sounds to me like you have a failing HDD from your first post to here you seem to be going in circles but your error code Fault : Read When you first boot it should come on and say Press any key to Boot from CD.....
no. Unrelated Stupid Stuff NON-DELL ZONE!!!!! Then after the retail Win 7 installs you can boot up and access the F11 key to do a Factory reinstall from d:drive to get all your drivers back. Or I use Ultimate Windows CD also.

It did find both sections on the HDD, OS and REcovery and they were pronounced fine by Bitdefender. i got this on about 10 - 15 blocks when i ran a test and have since ordered a new harddrive, set to arrive any day. Before reloading windows and losing all your data you still have to see if chkdsk can correct your hdd errors.
