Im somehow suprised though,why VS2010 couldnt determine that there was a circular reference? It seems to stem from a problem with where the dlls are compiled too. Everything went fine when I run my application but when I stopped and made some changes to it and re-run it again this error message kept on displaying "unable to copy Switching back to Debug mode at some later time after some more changes have been made does not make the problem reappear and building works flawlessly. The symptoms really seem that random and unforeseeable. Error 11 Could Not Copy Exceeded Retry Count Of 10. Failed I have found a variety of threads in this forum that seem to describe something very similar, if not the same issue: 1827 build failed... Somehow, automatic termination of your application does not stop something else. Why are you trying to overwrite your own EXE anyway?

If this is SharpDevelop holding the .dll open for some reason, simply restarting SharpDevelop without using VS should work to release the file. Estimate Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes.
